BSE Market Capitalization: Indian stock market is on the verge of creating history, may soon enter the 4 trillion dollar club

BSE Market Capitalization At New High: The Indian stock market has created a new history on Tuesday. The market capitalization of companies listed on BSE has crossed Rs 331 lakh crore for the first time. Now the market cap of companies listed on BSE is just a few steps away from entering the historic club of $4 trillion. 

Due to Guru Nanak Jayanti, there was a tremendous rise in the market in the first trading session of this week. Especially due to heavy buying in Adani Group’s shares, there has been a jump of more than Rs 1 lakh crore in the market cap of Adani Group’s stocks alone. Due to which the market cap of BSE has seen an increase of Rs 2.4 lakh crore. 

Market capitalization of companies listed on BSE has closed at Rs 331.05 lakh crore. At the exchange rate of rupee 83.34 per dollar, the market cap in dollar terms has reached 3.97 trillion dollars. On May 24, 2021, for the first time, the market capitalization of BSE listed companies touched the level of 3 trillion dollars. 

When the Hindenburg Research report was released in January 2023, there was a big decline in the market till the month of March and the market cap of the companies listed on BSE had come down to Rs 255.64 lakh crore on March 20, 2023. But during the last 8 months, on the basis of foreign and domestic investors, the market of companies listed on BSE has come to Rs 331 crore. This means that during this period there has been an increase of Rs 75 lakh crore in the wealth of investors.
