The central government had also given the gift of increased DA to all other employees as a Holi gift. After this, many states increased the DA of government employees and pensioners by 4 percent. The states which have increased DA include Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. DA has been increased by about 4 percent in all states. Lakhs of employees and pensioners are going to benefit from this. With this decision, the employees will not only get increased salary but will also get the benefit of arrears.
