200 aircraft will be used for air taxi service
According to the plan, Inter Globe and Archer Aviation will use 200 aircraft for this service. Both the companies hope that they will get the certificate from the aviation sector regulator DGCA by next year. This service will prove to be a boon for the people of Delhi and Gurugram. At present, it takes people about 90 minutes to cover the distance of about 27 km from Connaught Place in Delhi to Gurugram. However, Archer Aviation claims that the same distance can be covered by air taxi in just 7 minutes.
4 passengers will be able to travel with the pilot in eVTOL aircraft
4 passengers will be able to travel along with the pilot in this Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (EVTOL) aircraft. These planes are like helicopters. But, they do not make that much noise and are considered safer. Archer Aviation will supply these 200 e-tool aircraft. This service will also be launched in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Company founder and CEO Adam Goldstein said that our talks are ongoing with America's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These aircraft can get certificate soon.
