World Population: The world’s population will cross 800 crore, India will overtake China by 2023, UN report

World Population Hits 8 Billion Mark : The world population has crossed the mark of 800 crores. India’s share in this is more than 135 crores. The United Nations (UN Report On Population) has given information about this. On Tuesday, the world has crossed the 800 crore mark.  After 48 years the population of the world has doubled. In 1974, the world population was 400 crores.  By the end of the 21st century, the world population will reach 1000 crores, after that the world population will not increase rapidly, but may decrease. Because the birth rate of the world is starting to decrease. Accordingly, the United Nations (UN Report On Population) has said that the rate of population growth can decrease.

According to the information of the United Nations, the world population has crossed the 8 billion mark on Tuesday. This number is likely to reach 850 crores by 2030, 970 crores by 2050 and 1040 crores (10 Billion) by 2100. It is estimated that by 2050, our average life expectancy will be 77.2 years. In 2019, our average life expectancy was 72.2 years. So in 1990, our estimated life expectancy was 63 years. Apart from that, women live 5.4 years longer than men, the average age of women is 73.4 years while the average age of men is 68.4 years, the report also said. 

China and India are the most populous countries in the world. Currently, the population of China is the largest in the world. After that is India’s no. However, the population of India is likely to exceed that of China soon. The United Nations (UN Report On Population) has published a report on this. It says that India will surpass China in population within a year.
