T20 World Cup 2022: Salt on Pakistan’s wound! Two other star players injured, Babar’s tension increased before the T20 World Cup

T20 World Cup 2022: Few days are left for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia and all the teams are in full swing. But on the other hand, the problems of the Pakistan team will not diminish. The tension between the captain Babar Azam and the Pakistan team has increased as the players in the team keep getting injured. Before the Asia Cup, Mohammad Wasim and the team’s star bowler Shaheen Afridi were injured. Due to which he had to miss the Asia Cup. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan were injured in this. Both these players are suffering from knee injuries. Also Mohammad Wasim has rejoined the team after recovering from injury.

Mohammed Rizwan to miss opening few matches against England
Pakistan Cricket Board has rested Fakhar Zaman for the T20 series against England. So, he has been selected as a reserve player in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup team. Importantly, it has been reported that Mohammad Rizwan will not play in the opening T20 match against England in Karachi. Mohammad Haris is likely to be given a chance in his place. 

PCB clarification on Fakhar Zaman’s injury
Pakistan Cricket Board has issued a press release regarding Fakhar Zaman’s injury. Accordingly, Fakhar Zaman will leave for London on Friday for rehab. Fakhar injured his right knee while fielding in the final of the T20 Asia Cup played in UAE recently. As per protocol, the PCB has scheduled medical treatment with the best medical care specialists to help Fakhar recover from the injury as soon as possible.

Updates regarding Shaheen Afridi’s injury
The press release released by the Pakistan Cricket Board has given important updates regarding Shaheen Afridi’s injury. Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is back in the team after injury. Shaheen is currently in rehab in London. Shaheen is recovering from injury and will be fully recovered before the upcoming T20 World Cup. Importantly, Shaheen Afridi is still not fully fit but has been picked in the squad for the seven-match T20I series against England.
