S Jaishankar: ‘Target to make India a developed country by 2047, 75 years after independence India will be the fifth largest economy in the world’: S Jaishankar

S Jaishankar UN Speech : Foreign Minister S Jaishankar (External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar) is currently on a visit to New York. He addressed an event in New York on Saturday before addressing the UN General Assembly. On this occasion, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that after 75 years of independence, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world. In the 18th century, India accounted for one-fourth of the world’s total economy. But by the mid-twentieth century, slavery worsened the situation and India became one of the poorest countries. But in the 75th year of independence, India stands proudly in front of the world as the fifth largest economy in the world. Not only this, India is moving even faster.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived in New York to participate in the program ‘[email protected]: India-UN Partnership in Action’. On this occasion, he commented on many other issues including the economy of India in his speech. The External Affairs Minister said that in recent times, India has successfully upgraded its food security system through digital technology. Through this food grains have reached the common people.

‘Goal to make India a developed country by 2047’

S Jaishankar in his speech said that digital technology is being used well in India. This has benefited the public. In India, 80 crore people have been given ration under food security with the help of digital technology. India aims to become a developed country by 2047. Our target is to digitize the remote villages and towns of the country, which we are working on at a fast pace, the External Affairs Minister also said on the occasion.

In his speech, S Jaishankar said about the relationship between India and the United Nations that we are committed to strengthening the relationship with the United Nations to ensure the security of the Earth. India has full faith in the principles and charter of the United Nations.
