Pakistan Earthquake In Chaman: An earthquake occurred on Saturday (April 1) in Chaman, a border city of Pakistan adjacent to Afghanistan. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the hilly area of ​​Khwaja Imran, about 30 km north-east of Chaman. At least three children died in this earthquake.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan has directed the staff of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) from Mir Quddus Bizenjo to reach the spot and help the affected people.

intensity measured 3.5 on the Richter scale
The intensity of the earthquake was recorded 3.5 on the Richter scale. Panic spread in the area after the earthquake. The children killed have been identified as 12-year-old Palwasha, 10-year-old Amina and 8-year-old Sajwal. The injured were admitted to Chaman District Headquarters Hospital. Emergency was declared in the hospital to provide medical service to the injured in the earthquake.  

Panic in the surrounding areas too
The tremors of the earthquake spread panic in Chaman and surrounding areas as well. Levi’s soldiers reached the area and took people to safe places. The houses made of mud completely collapsed. Survivors scrambled from the rubble trying to recover what they had lost.

Most parts of Quetta and Balochistan are in the earthquake red zone. Once a century ago, the city of Chaman was razed by the deadliest earthquake. Similarly, in the deadliest earthquake in 1935, the city of Quetta was razed to the ground within 30 seconds.
