Hong Kong
Australian officials confirmed on Sunday that two foreign travelers arriving in Sydney have been found to be infected with the Omicron form of the coronavirus. The two passengers are part of a group of 14 others that reached Australia from southern Africa on Saturday. They did not have symptoms of the disease and both have taken a dose of anti-Covid-19 vaccine. The remaining 12 people have been kept in isolation.

In New South Wales, the Department of Health said infected travelers had come from one of nine African countries that required isolation in a hotel upon arrival in Sydney. These countries are South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini, Malawi and Seychelles.
