Oklahoma University Shooting: Shooter was present on campus, university tweeted and told students- ‘Run, hide, fight’

US University Shooting: The cases of shooting in educational institutions of America are not taking the name of stopping. In another recent case, the University of Oklahoma reported an active shooter inside its college campus on Saturday. This university is located in Norman, USA. 

However, later after a thorough investigation of the case and confirmation that there was no danger in the college campus, the alert was canceled after the news of the shooter inside the campus. The shooter has not been caught yet. The University of Oklahoma said in a tweet to those on campus, "Van Vleet is an active shooter at The Oval. 

Fly, Hide, Fight Advice

The university advised its students to avoid the South Oval area and take shelter in a safe place, as police officers continued their operation against the shooter. Updating about the firing incident, the university asked the students to save their lives, "run hide fight" advised.

Go to safety

The university advised students to avoid the South Oval area and go to a safer place. According to local media, several police and SWAT tactical vehicles were present outside the University of Oklahoma. Meanwhile, the university also tweeted about hearing possible gunshots on the Norman campus.

Visuals running by local media showed several police vehicles outside the University of Oklahoma. The incident comes days after three children and three adults were killed during a school shooting in Nashville.

It is noteworthy that even before this such attacks have happened in America. In January, there was an incident of indiscriminate firing at a school in Iowa, USA. In which two students were killed while a teacher was seriously injured. Two days before this incident, 10 people had died in an indiscriminate firing incident in California. Apart from this, many people were injured.
