In fact, last month the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) withdrew its support from the government. After this the government was in danger, but now ‘Prachanda’ feels that his government is out of danger.

According to the report of the news agency ANI, the PM will give a floor test in the neighboring country Nepal on March 20 to get the trust vote. The agency gave this news quoting sources in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat. If this happens, it will be Dahal’s second floor test in Parliament after about three months.
The floor test will be held again in Nepal on March 20
PM Dahal had recently discussed with the leaders of the ruling coalition. According to the agency report, he is preparing to get the trust vote on the coming Monday (March 20). His party has claimed to have the support of 10 parties. Why Nepal government is in minority?
The Dahal government is in minority after the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) withdrew its support. To find out this, the Dahal government is preparing to conduct a floor test in the house. Days before the UML’s decision, the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RSP) also left the government, although it continued to support it.
Confidence vote has to be taken within 30 days
According to Article-100, Section 2 of the Constitution of Nepal, a party in a coalition government withdraws its support or breaks up , then in such a situation the Prime Minister has to take a vote of confidence again within 30 days. If the PM fails to get the trust vote, he loses his post. The current Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal had earlier given the floor test on January 10. Then he got 99% votes.
