Malaysia New Prime Minister : Reformist leader Anwar Ibrahim (Anwar Ibrahim) of Malaysia Prime Minister  (Prime Minister) has been appointed. Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah of Malaysia has today announced the appointment of Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim as Prime Minister. The Sultan’s announcement ended the political upheaval that had been going on for several days after the general elections in the country. Sultan has said that the swearing-in ceremony of the new Prime Minister will be held today.

Oath ceremony at 5pm

The King of Malaysia, Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah, said that the swearing-in ceremony of the post of Chief Minister will take place today at 5 pm. Interestingly, no party had a clear majority after Saturday’s general election results. This led to a deadlock in the Parliament. One group was led by Anwar Ibrahim and the other group was led by former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
