India will become a powerhouse driving global growth by 2047: Piyush Goyal

Business Community In California: Union Minister Piyush Goyal has said that India is on track to become a powerhouse driving global growth by 2047. He has said this while interacting with businessmen from Southern California in America. In his speech, Goyal said that the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) is an important step towards free and fair trade with like-minded countries to maintain a rules-based international order and a transparent financial system. They are coming together to expand political stability and economic circulation in the Indo-Pacific, he added.

Addressing the gathering, Goyal said that due to the progressive reforms and development work taking place in India, the country has been ranked fifth among global economies. Goyal said that in the year 2047, India’s economy will be worth 35 to 45 trillion i.e. 35 to 45 lakh crore dollars.

India today is a hotbed of opportunity and a potential market for the US business community, Goyal said. He said, India is benefiting from a demographic boom in manpower and India’s ambitious youth provides a huge opportunity for growth. He added, India is also moving fast towards achieving clean, pollution-free energy and we aim to achieve India’s 500 GW green power generation capacity by 2030.

Goyal said, the government makes 1 billion 30 crore citizens as good citizens and citizens who contribute to the economic growth and development of the country.  Talking about the measures taken by the government in the last few years, Goyal said that the government is capable of meeting the basic needs of the people, such as food security (availability), shelter and toilets.

“We are proud to be the mother of all democracies in the world. We are proud of having a functioning judiciary and rule of law, a strong media and a transparent government system,” Goyal said.
