Another country has become independent from British control. The Caribbean island country of Barbados has now been declared a separate republic and will be the 55th country to separate from Britain. Late in the night, Barbados declared itself a separate country and now the reign of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has ended.
Late night, a ceremony has taken place on the occasion of the declaration of Barbados as a separate country and Prince Charles of Britain has participated in it.
The Queen of Britain had appointed Sandra Mason as the Governor General of Barbados and she is going to become the first President of Barbados there. Sandra Mason will be sworn in as President of Barbados tonight. He has also previously served as ambassador to Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela.
Although Barbados was freed from the slavery of Britain in 1966 itself, but most of the governance systems there were running under Britain, the British have ruled Barbados for almost 300 years. Since the beginning of the 21st century, Barbados was continuously working to declare itself a separate republic and now it has got this success in 2021.
Among the Caribbean archipelagos, before Barbados, Guyana, Dominica, Trinidad and Tobago have declared themselves separate republics. Barbados is considered to be more prosperous than all these countries because it is recognized in the whole world in terms of tourism. The population of Barbados is around 3 lakhs.
