This was followed by an explosion of Corona in the family.
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation is keeping a close watch on 147 passengers returning to Vadodara from ‘dangerous countries’. The passengers have been instructed to be home quarantined for weeks. A total of 924 passengers returned to Vadodara from abroad. The test report, which came out on Thursday, did not find a single passenger positive.
Health Officer of Vadodara Municipal Corporation Dr. Devesh Patel said passengers from “dangerous countries” would have to undergo a Corona test after completing the seven-day isolation period. Seven new cases of corona were reported in Vadodara on Thursday.
Meanwhile, 138 passengers have arrived in Surat from abroad and as per the guidelines of the state government, they have been made home quarantine. So far, not a single passenger returning from abroad has tested positive, officials said. “Our teams are monitoring the passengers from abroad,” said a health official from Surat Manpa.
On Thursday, six new cases of corona were reported in Surat city while one person’s corona report came positive in Kamaraj district. A new case was also reported in Valsad while eight people are home quarantine. An official of the Valsad health department said, “Currently, we are not following any special criteria at the entry point of the state. We have received a list of eight people returning from abroad. These eight people from the district are currently quarantined at their homes.”
