Gorakhpur: Praising the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Monday that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken tough and tough measures to protect the society from people of deadly and evil nature. The bold steps taken are commendable. Gadkari handed over 18 projects worth Rs 10,000 crore in the presence of Yogi Adityanath. He laid the foundation stone of 12 road projects and inaugurated six. All these projects are of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Gadkari said, ‘I will congratulate Yogi Adityanath for the development works. Also, the harsh steps he has taken to protect the gentlemen who used to oppress the gentlemen. For this I congratulate Yogi ji personally and on behalf of the people of the country. Gadkari said, “Yogi has set an ideal regarding law and order. I had said earlier that we will make Uttar Pradesh’s roads equal to America’s and our efforts are going in that direction.

90% demands of development in UP fulfilled: Gadkari
The Union Minister said that in 2014 there were 7643 km of national highways, since Modi became the Prime Minister of the country, in 2023, 13 thousand km of national highway work has been done in Uttar Pradesh. He said, “I believe that when 2024 ends, we will do road works worth five lakh crore rupees in Uttar Pradesh and will definitely do the work of bringing Uttar Pradesh at par with America. I am happy that almost 90 percent of the development works that were sought here have been fulfilled. The Chief Minister had talked about the connectivity of Jewar airport, this work will be completed soon.

Claiming that infrastructure has been given priority under Modiji’s leadership, he said, “We are giving connectivity to Purvanchal Expressway and Ganga Expressway.” We are providing connectivity to the Ganga Expressway by constructing an eight kilometer ‘spool’ on the Meerut-Bulandshahr road at a cost of Rs 300 crore. In Purvanchal Expressway, 134 kilometer four lane green field lane expressway from Ghazipur to Ballia to Majhighat will be connected with Purvanchal Expressway at a cost of Rs 5320 crore. We have fulfilled this demand also. We are also making an ‘interchange’ for this.

Work will be done to connect major cities: Gadkari
Gadkari said that the demand for better connectivity to Prayagraj was raised during the Kumbh and the work of connecting Prayagraj to major cities of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh is going on fast. He said that 145 kilometer long six-lane road from Prayagraj to Kanpur would be constructed in May 2023 at a cost of Rs 2160 crore and Rae Bareli-Jagdishpur-Ayodhya four-lane road would be constructed by July 107 kilometer at a cost of Rs 2600 crore. Will happen in 2023.

He said that the four-lane road from Lucknow to Varanasi is being constructed at a cost of about Rs 8,850 crore, which will be completed in April 2023. He said that Yogi had demanded ring roads for many cities, construction of 40 ring roads and bypasses worth Rs 41 thousand crore has been approved in Uttar Pradesh. Gadkari said that the way investment is coming in Uttar Pradesh, it is sure that it will definitely become the country’s happy and prosperous state.

He said that the development of roads in UP will remove poverty, hunger and unemployment in the state. He said that there is a need to bring automobile industry in UP so that more and more youth will get employment. Adityanath said that the credit for the strong network of road infrastructure that is being seen across the country today goes to Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. He said that the world is amazed that despite the biggest pandemic of the century, India’s economy is growing at such a fast pace, the basis of which is strong infrastructure.
