Apart from this, it has been decided to make registration and re-registration of electric vehicles free of cost, just like tractors and ambulances for agricultural use. Suggestions have been sought for both the amendments from the Transport Department.

Transport Department’s Principal Secretary Venkateshwar Lu told about the mandate that according to the 29th amendment in Rule 39 of the Uttar Pradesh Motor Vehicle Rules, 1998, any vehicle of the state can get the certificate by getting the fitness test done in any district of the state. Will be able The compulsion of your district for fitness will be removed.

In fact, till now the fitness test had to be done in the district where the vehicle was registered. Due to this the vehicle owners had to face many problems. But according to the new rules, now in any district you can go to the fitness center of RTO or private center and get the fitness test done. As per the new rules, the fitness report will be uploaded on the vehicle portal and the certificate will be available online in 15 days. Suggestions have been sought for this in three days.
