Kanpur Dehat: Paan Parag Gutkha worth about one crore rupees was recovered from the school in UP’s Kanpur Dehat on Thursday. The school director sent the children back saying that their aunt had passed away. Now the school will not open for five days. He fled before the police arrived. When the police opened the room of the school, about two hundred sacks of paan parag gutkha were found in room number five. Its market value is said to be around one crore rupees. Presently the GST team is probing the matter. The case pertains to Gurukul Public School located in Naholi, Kanpur Dehat.

Unethical practices were going on in the school where the children used to go for education and to learn good manners. Unaware of this, when the children reached the school on Thursday, the school director Dhirendra Singh returned the children saying that their aunt had passed away. Now the school will not open for five days. At the same time, the same information was also put in the WhatsApp group of the school. Due to this even the teachers did not go to school.

Here, the police reached the school, along with Naib Tehsildar and GST officials, opened the main gate and room of the school. About two hundred sacks of paan parag gutkha dump was found in a big hall there. In preliminary investigation, Gutkha Paan Parag is made by the company itself. There is absolutely no possibility of it being fake. The GST team is probing the matter. Inspector-in-charge of Gajner police station Surjit Kumar told that investigation is going on at many points in the case. Further action will be taken after the GST team’s investigation is complete.

Director ran away after closing the school
As soon as the information about gutkha being found in the school on a large scale, a crowd of villagers gathered there. The school director fled from the spot. The police team said that his house was also found locked. Officials of the Education Department are telling about the recognition of the school from the Sanskrit Board up to class five. Police officers are expressing apprehension that gutkha was being taken by evading tax. The vicious gang got to know about it. He looted the car from the way and took it to the school. Got the entire cargo unloaded there. The college director is also said to be involved in this gang. Along with this, the names of some people associated with BJP are also coming to the fore. Presently the GST and police team is probing the matter.

Some people stopped the truck carrying Gutkha from Kanpur on the highway near Nabipur. Then he was asked to evacuate by taking him to the school situated at Naholi on Rathigaon Road. As soon as he got the opportunity, the sailor informed his master about this. The owner dialed UP 112 and informed about looting the Gutkha car but he did not come on the spot. Till noon the police kept waiting for the informer to come. He didn’t reach. Now the GST team is trying to identify him on the basis of his mobile number. There is a possibility of tax evasion due to non-availability of the informer.

School director himself is in government college
Dhirendra Singh, the director of the Gurukul Public School where Gutkha was found, is himself a Babu in a government school. He is also running a school in his village. The villagers told that a corruption report has already been registered against Babu. His wife Priya Singh is managing his private school. At present, the people of the village are shocked by this development.
