8.50 crore will be spent on providing safety kits to the sailors
Divine disaster expert Priyesh Ranjan Malviya said that under the Uttar Pradesh boat safety and sailor welfare policy, funds have been sanctioned from the State Disaster Response Fund to buy and distribute safety kits to divers and sailors of the state. Rs 6.45 lakh has been released for providing safety kits to 4 divers and 30 sailors in Hamirpur.
Life jackets, oars, ropes, long bamboos, torches and first aid kits will also be provided to 872 divers and 5123 sailors in the entire state including Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat. Rs 8.50 crore has also been released.
Divers and sailors will get safety kits till next month
Funds have been released by the government for providing safety kits to divers and sailors in the entire state including Hamirpur. Hamirpur ADM Ramesh Chandra Tiwari said that the government has received funds for providing safety kits to divers and sailors. Now tenders will be issued for the supply of safety kits. A committee has also been constituted for this.
Told that after the supply, the safety kits will be provided to the divers and sailors here. The ADM said that before March 31, 2023, a plan has been made to buy safety kits and distribute them to divers and sailors according to the list.
