AK Sharma: Yogi’s minister played an important role behind the victory in the UP civic elections, PM Modi was also an admirer of his ability

Arvind Kumar Sharma, a 1988 batch IAS in Gujarat cadre, took VRS from his job and joined BJP in Lucknow in January 2021. Presently he is handling the Ministry of Urban Development and Energy in the UP Government. The credit for the victory in the civic elections also rests on his head. The urban cleanliness, beauty, development, service and cleanliness run by the Urban Development Department with the hard work of Safai Mitras and city workers was termed as the reason behind the victory.

PM Narendra Modi’s special called A. Of. Sharma has been working continuously since 2001 when he became the CM of Gujarat. The Prime Minister kept him with him in the Chief Minister’s Office from 2001 to 2013 when he was the CM in Gujarat. After Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, AK Sharma joined the PMO.

Only after the victory in the civic body, he took a meeting with the officials and directed them to maintain quality in the work. After the formation of the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, he was given the responsibility of Member Legislative Council in Uttar Pradesh and State Vice President in BJP organization. After the second victory of the Yogi government in the 2022 assembly elections last year, A. Of. Sharma was included in the cabinet cabinet.

Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma said that cleaning of cities is a continuous process. For this, there is also a need to make people aware all the time. When our cities are clean, people will also be healthy. The cleanliness of the cities and the awareness of the people is increasing. Now better cleanliness is being seen everywhere.

Along with this, he said that it is the result of the global level work going on in the cities that people appeared in favor of the BJP in the municipal elections and with enthusiasm people fed the lotus. For this, the officers, employees and sweepers of the municipal body also contribute. The Urban Development Minister also felicitated the Principal Secretary and other higher officials on the occasion and thanked them for their contribution.
