Agra School News: Teacher accused of harassment, students left school and reached court, know the whole matter

When the reason came to light, they reached the court. When the case was registered, the students went to the court to record their statement in the hearing. The case pertains to a government primary school in Shamshabad block of Agra. Most of the 123 students of the school have stopped attending classes in the last few days. They allege that the teacher molests the students.

Based on the complaint of the students, the matter has reached the court. On Friday, some of the students who did not go to school, along with their parents, went directly to the district court to record their statements. At least 35 students from classes VI to VIII claimed that they were molested and physically abused by their teachers. The students say that they will go to school only after the teacher is arrested.

Allegations of molestation for two years

Five girl students, who recorded their statements in the district court, alleged that the teachers were molesting them in the last two years. Now patience has paid off. FIR under POCSO Act and IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 35 (repeated coercion to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (criminal intimidation) at Shamshabad police station against 49-year-old assistant teacher Ashutosh Sharma has been registered. On May 16, the parents of the students, along with child rights activist Naresh Paras, informed Police Commissioner Preetinder Singh about the matter.

The teacher was later suspended by the Basic Education Department in front of this matter. He is currently absconding. A teacher posted at the school said that we had earlier lodged a formal complaint with the police and department officials. But no action was taken. He urinated in the open and kept a revolver to scare children.

Fatehabad ACP Saurabh Singh said that an FIR has been registered. The statements of the children have been recorded under CrPC 164 by the Magistrate. The investigation is on. The accused teacher will be arrested soon.
