Strong hold on eight seats

After the formation of the state, he has been an MLA from Lansdowne, Rudraprayag and Kotdwar. Apart from these seats, he is considered to have good penetration in Rudraprayag, Kedarnath, Pauri, Srinagar and Chaubattakhal region. Srinagar is also his home, so Harak also started student politics from here.

Harak Singh Rawat had reached the assembly in the year 2002 by winning from Lansdowne seat on Congress ticket. He also won the same seat in the 2007 elections. After this, he changed his seat in the 2012 elections and went to Rudraprayag. Here too, he continued his political threat and won. After the rebellion of the year 2016, he again changed the seat and contested the 2017 election from Kotdwar on a BJP ticket and won.

Along with this, it has also been said that he will campaign for the party in the entire state, especially in all the seats of Garhwal. The party knows that Harak Singh’s supporters are in both the BJP-Congress parties. Which she wants to convert into votes for the party.
