The father of Mukhtar Ansari, who was accused in the Usri Chatti case, filed a case, know why the hearing was stopped
Ghazipur: Mukhtar Ansari’s difficulties are increasing. On one hand, on January 19, the Allahabad High Court stayed the hearing of the Usri Chatti bullet case till further orders. On the other hand, on January 20, an FIR has been registered against Mukhtar Ansari at Muhammadabad Kotwali. The FIR has been lodged by Shailendra Rai, father of the deceased Manoj Rai. Manoj Rai’s death was revealed during the Usri Chatti firing incident when Mukhtar Ansari’s convoy was attacked on July 15, 2001. Manoj was mentioned as one of the attackers in the Tahrir given by Mukhtar Ansari in the case of attack on himself.

According to the Muhammadabad Kotwali police, Shailendra Kumar Rai, a resident of Buxar, has held Mukhtar Ansari responsible for the murder of his son Manoj Rai. A written complaint letter was also given to UP CM, UP DGP, ADG Law and Order. Taking cognizance of this letter, an FIR has been registered against Mukhtar Ansari and others on the guidelines received from the government. The FIR has been registered under sections 147, 148, 149 and 302 of the IPC. In his letter, Shailendra Rai had mentioned that his son Manoj Rai was not killed in Usri Chatti shootout, but his son was killed by Mukhtar Ansari along with his associates. Later this death was linked to the Usri Chatti incident.

Why didn’t Mukhtar Ansari get shot?

According to Shailendra Rai, his son Manoj Rai used to do contract work with Mukhtar Ansari. Later, when Manoj Rai expressed his intention to work separately, a dispute arose between the two. In the following days, both of them agreed to work together in a compromise, narrowing the gap between them. Meanwhile, on July 14, 2001, Mukhtar Ansari along with some of his associates took Manoj from his house citing some work. Manoj was later murdered and Manoj’s murder was linked to the Usri shootout. According to Shailendra Rai, if his son Manoj Rai fired at Mukhtar Ansari from the front while being involved in the Usri Chatti incident, then why Mukhtar sitting on the front seat did not get shot. How did the bullet hit the gunner sitting behind.

The court issued a notice and asked for an answer

The trial of the Usri Chatti incident was going on in the MP-MLA court of Ghazipur. Meanwhile, on the petition of one of the accused, Tribhuvan Singh, the single bench of the Allahabad High Court has stayed the trial of the Usri Chatti shooting case in the lower court. Petitioner Tribhuvan Singh had mentioned in his petition that Mukhtar Ansari’s brother is currently a Member of Parliament. Mukhtar’s daughter and nephew are MLAs. Mukhtar’s entire family is a political influencer. In such a situation, the trial of Usri Bullet Case in Ghazipur Court will not be conducted in a fair manner. This case should be transferred from Ghazipur court to another district court. Taking cognizance of this application, the Allahabad High Court has issued a notice to the UP government and Mukhtar Ansari asking them to reply within 4 weeks.
