According to the information, two children were going in the lift of The Golden Palm Society located in Sector-168 under Thana Expressway area of Noida, at around 8:30 pm on Friday night, when the lift stopped and a woman in that lift. Pet comes inside the lift with the dog. The pet dog attacks the two children inside the lift. Nothing happens to the children in the attack, but the woman stops the lift and throws them both out of the lift and herself goes inside the lift with the dog. This whole incident gets captured in the CCTV camera installed there. After which the family members of the children come to know about the whole incident. Although no one has given any complaint regarding this matter, but still there is an atmosphere of fear in the society regarding the menace of dogs.
In view of the dog bite issue and controversy, the authority had prepared a draft dog policy. This too has been approved by the board. If someone’s pet dog bites someone. In such a situation, the authority will impose a fine of Rs 10,000 on the person who keeps the dog. Along with this, the responsibility of getting treatment will also be of the dog owner. The Noida Authority has framed the policy following the guidelines of the Animal Welfare Board of India.
