Sharad Kelkar Open Up About His Struggle: Actor Sharad Kelkar, who started his career with TV, is trying to prove himself in the film world these days. After working in Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer film ‘Ramlila’, Akshay Kumar played a transgender character in ‘Laxmi’. After which he proved that he is no less than anyone in terms of acting. During a recent interview, the actor mentioned those days of his life which he never forgets. Referring to his struggling days, the actor told that how to manage in a low budget, those days taught him in the best way. He also mentioned the expenses of his food and drink that day.
Sharad Kelkar lived in a room with 9 boys
In the podcast of Cyrus Brocha, the actor told that he used to share a room with about 9 boys at that time. He used to have this house in Bazar Road, Bandra. There used to be a Rajasthani hotel nearby which also used to provide Dhaba service. He told- ‘That day we used to get a roti for 2 rupees from there. We used to buy some eggs together. I arranged the gas cylinder. Used to cook only in that. My day and evening meal was 4 eggs and two rotis. It used to be mine for 25 rupees.’
Ramp walk for 3 minutes for Rs 5000
Sharad told that at that time he used to work in the gym as well. There his earnings used to be around Rs 2750 a month. But when he was offered Rs 5000 to walk the ramp for just 3 minutes for a fashion show, he quickly accepted the offer. After this his real career started.
