A new movie is releasing which means you must go to the theater to watch it. However, this method has changed a bit during the Corona lockdown. Films were released directly on OTT platforms instead of in theatres. This has increased the popularity of OTT platforms. From there, the movies started coming to OTT within a few days of their release in theaters. No matter how big a hero movie is, it will appear in OTT in maximum 30 days. However, now Andhra Pradesh government is going to change this method too.
On the release day of the film, the audience is planning to sit at home and watch the film on TV. It has taken a sensational decision to provide this facility through AP Fibernet. To this extent, AP Fibernet Chairman P. Gautam Reddy disclosed the details in a press meet held at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad on Friday.
Andhra Pradesh government is bringing all the facilities to the doorstep of the people so that no one should suffer. AP Fibernet has brought the concept of cinema to the people in the same way. AP Fibernet, our government is not against producers, big heroes or small heroes. The film will also be telecast on TVs using AP Fibernet on the day of its theatrical release. It is available for 24 hours. We will decide the rate based on the level of the film. We will take 50-50 model in terms of revenue. Gautham Reddy explained that 50 percent will go to the producer and 50 percent to APSFL.
Speaking Gautam Reddy
Gautham Reddy made it clear that if any small changes are needed by then, we will do it legally with agreements. “We are adopting a method where OTT and movie theater owners have nothing to do with this. We have data on who is watching a particular movie on AP Fibernet and how much. This is a feature only available on IPTV. Piracy can be prevented if the movie is released through this IPTV. “Producer will also benefit,” he said.
Gautham Reddy said that people living in rural areas have to come to the town to watch a new movie. This method is being adopted to provide them with the facility to watch the released movie on TVs at home without having to face that problem. He said that the concept of cinema in front of people is coming for the first time in India through AP Fibernet. He said that whatever format the producer gives them the film, AP Fibernet will convert it and provide it to the public. AP Film Development Corporation Chairman Posani Krishnamurali, AP Electronic Media Advisor Ali, Creativity and Culture Mission Creative Head Joginaudu, Producer C. Kalyan and others participated in this program.
