‘The elephants chased some drunken people into the forest. Currently I am searching for elephants in Krishnagiri forest. I don’t have any clarity about whether they are both converging.. separate and moving. Today I will try to locate them under any circumstances. If I don’t see them, I will complain to the forest ranger and I will go to my native place,’ Boman revealed.
Elephants in ‘The Elephant Whisperers’
‘The Elephant Whisperers’ is a documentary about the journey of two orphaned baby elephants, Boman and Belly. Directed by Karthi Gonsalves. The inseparable bond between the couple and the elephants has been wonderfully shown in the documentary. It also describes how the couple’s actions have contributed to nature over time.
Bomman is very happy that this documentary won the Oscar award. It is said that it is proud. He thanked director Karthiki for making him known internationally. ‘I don’t know what the actual film will be like and how it will be made. They came to make a documentary. Scenes like what we do every day and how we live with elephants are filmed daily. Standing in front of the camera and talking to the camera felt very strange to me. Because this is my first time in front of the camera. Thanks to Karthik ma’am and my elephants. I am very happy that this award has made the entire country and our forest department proud. Currently, I am taking care of a giant elephant. Its name is Krishna. Belli was removed from the responsibilities of elephant care a year ago. Bomman said that she was given another job recently.
