The story was written based on the love story of Shakuntala and Dushyantula in Adiparvam of Mahabharata. Malayalam hero Dev Mohan acted in the character of Dusyanthu. This movie was released in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil languages. Neelima Guna is producing under the banner of DRP and Guna Team Works under the banner of famous producer Dil Raju.
