Senior director and producer Tammareddy Bharadwaja participated in a program held at Rabindra Bharti recently. In response to a question about how filmmaking has changed, he made harsh comments on RRR. RRR Team spent 80 crores for Oscar promotions. If they give us that 80 crores, we will make 10 films and hit them in the face,” he said. Some netizens are expressing their opinion that it is not correct that he has spent so much on promotions, even though he did not intend to denigrate RRR.
The film RRR was shot at a cost of more than five hundred crore rupees. Mega Power Star Ram Charan played the role of Alluri and Young Tiger NTR played the role of Komuram Bheem. The film opens as a fictional period drama with the story of Alluri and Bheem fighting together for freedom. Actually the Indian Government did not send RRR to Oscar. With this Rajamouli and team entered the field and spent a huge amount and sent it to Oscar nominations through American distributors.
Later RRR received many international awards including Hollywood Critics Association. The Natu Natu song from this movie was nominated for an Oscar in the Original Song category.
