Rowdy star Vijay Devarakonda’s ‘Liger’ has left huge losses for legal buyers and exhibitors. This movie is jointly produced by Puri Jagannath and Charmi under Puri Connects and Dharma Productions. But the Nizam Area Exhibitors had earlier asked Puri to pay compensation to them as the film was an utter flop. Puri also agreed to this. But it is known that after six months of no response, the Nizam exhibitors started a protest near the Film Chamber. Nettinta’s voice note in which Puri spoke bitterly about this also went viral. But according to the latest information, when Puri Jagannath came down and said that they will pay compensation, they stopped the initiations.
The exhibitors, who had been on a relay hunger strike in front of the Film Chamber since last Friday, called off their dharna on Thursday. It seems that Telangana Chamber of Commerce along with Producer Council has given assurance regarding the payment. Although there is no direct communication between the producers and distributors of Ligar, the Film Chamber will resolve this issue. In this regard, the producer Charmi is in touch with the film chamber. She informed the chamber through mail that the money will be paid soon. After receiving the response from Puri and Charmi, the exhibitors and distributors stopped the protest.
As far as ‘Liger’ movie is concerned.. Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Pandey acted as a couple. Boxing champion Mike Tyson played a pivotal role. In fact, this Pan India movie, which got huge hype before its release, flopped at the box office. Due to the lack of stuff in the movie, the audience rejected the movie outright. But due to the pre-release hype, the distributors bought the film at fancy rates. As the result was different, they suffered a lot.
