Karate Kalyani: No suspension of ‘Ma’ on Karate Kalyani.. Cancellation of membership

Actress Karate Kalyani has been suspended by the Movie Artistes Association (MAA). Karate Kalyani, who is a member of ‘Ma’, has taken the decision to cancel her membership of the association as part of disciplinary action. To this extent, ‘Ma’ General Secretary Y. Raghubabu sent a suspension notice to Karate Kalyani on Thursday. The suspension notice stated that sending a legal notice without giving an explanation to the show cause notice issued on 16th of this month is a violation of the code of conduct prescribed for ‘our’ members. In the executive body meeting held on 23rd of this month, after discussing the behavior of Karate Kalyani, it was clarified that as per clause number 8 of ‘our’ bylaws, the decision was taken to make the suspension effective immediately.

It is known that arrangements have been made under the leadership of Minister Puvwada Ajay Kumar to install a 54 feet statue of NTR at Lakaram Tank Bund in Khammam. It has been decided to install an idol of NTR in the form of Krishna there. On the occasion of NTR’s birth anniversary, a statue has also been prepared to be installed on 28th of this month. However, Karate Kalyani strongly opposed the installation of this statue. He warned that NTR’s idol in the form of Krishna cannot be installed. However, some people criticized Karate Kalyani for making comments on social media in this regard, and she got angry. Many comments were made about NTR.

However, Movie Artist Association President Manchu Vishnu became serious as to how such comments can be made about Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao who is the pride of Telugu cinema. A show cause notice was sent to Karate Kalyani on 16th of this month to explain these comments. After that, Karate Kalyani and Manchu Vishnu also met. But, Kalyani did not back down in this matter. He warned that if NTR’s idol is erected in the form of Krishna, he will go on a hunger strike. In this order, some Hindu groups also went to the High Court. The court issued orders in their favor. They stayed the installation of NTR’s idol in the form of Krishna.

On the other hand, ‘Maa’ Showcause has given Karate Kalyani a notice to explain her comments on NTR within three days. Manchu Vishnu, president of ‘Ma’, stated in the notice that there will be strict disciplinary action if not. He also said that this notice should be considered as very important. But, as no explanation was given to this show cause notice, action was taken against Karate Kalyani. Let’s see how she reacts to this.
