The film ‘Kantara’ showed the stamina of South cinema in the pan India range. Produced by the famous production company Hombale Films, this film was released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages along with Kannada. It was a blockbuster hit everywhere it released. A hit is not like that.. It has achieved a range of collections that no one expected. There is no doubt that the movie has made all the heroes of entire India in awe. This film, which has already achieved many records, has recently acquired another rare record.
Still wondering what is Kantara’s record? In pan India range, this movie is Rs. It has joined the Rs 400 crore club. This matter has been informed by the trade circles. In Karnataka Rs. 168.50 crores.. in North India Rs. 96 crores.. Rs. 60 crores in Telugu states (Andhra/ Telangana).. Rs. 12.70 crores in Tamil Nadu.. Rs. 19.20 crores in Kerala.. Rs. 44.50 crores in overseas. Overall it is Rs.400.90 crore gross collections. The production cost of this movie is only Rs.15 crores. The collections came in an unexpected way.
But after the details of these collections came out, a new problem arose. There will be a war of words between the fans of ‘Kantara’ and the fans of KGIF. Because according to trade sources, Yash’s ‘KGF Chapter 2’ (KGF 2) in Karnataka has received Rs.171 crores. The movie ‘Kantara’ earned Rs.168.50 crores. But Kantara fans deny that. Their argument is that if Kantara movie grosses Rs. 185 crores in Karnataka… it is showing less. But others say that Kantara will soon break the record of KGIF Chapter 2 in Karnataka.
If all this is going on one side.. on the other hand, when will the movie ‘Kantara’ go into OTT? They are eagerly waiting for that. There are news that it will happen in November. Many dates are also heard. But the makers did not make any announcement. Cine circles say that this movie will create new records in terms of views in OTT as well. And we have to wait and see when Kantara will enter OTT.
