Kaikala Satyanarayana: Navarasa Natasvarbhaumuma.. nicknamed for uniqueness.. Kaikala
Senior actor Kaikala Satyanarayana, who entertained the Telugu audience with many memorable roles in his 60-year career, has passed away. He was suffering from illness for some time. He breathed his last today in the early morning in the hospital. Actor Satyanarayana, who made his debut in the film industry in 1959, remained forever in the hearts of Telugu people with his varied performances as a villain, a character artist and a comedy villain. He was born in Kauthavaram, Gudla Valleru Mandal, Krishna District in 1935 and completed his education in Gudivada and Vijayawada. Married to Nageswaramma in 1960, they have two daughters and a son. The last rites will be held at the Maha Prasthan in Hyderabad tomorrow.

Kaikala Satyanarayana is not only a senior actor in the Telugu industry but also a former member of the Indian Parliament. It is no exaggeration to say that he has not played a role in his six-decade film career. He is equal to him in portraying mythological, social, historical and folk characters. It was in this sequence that he got the title of ‘Navarasa Antanata Sarvabhauma’. Moreover, Satyanarayana is one of those who played roles of that level after SV Ranga Rao in the Telugu film industry. Although he played mostly villain roles in his career, at the end of his career, he entertained the audience with the roles of father and grandfather in most of the films.

An unbroken record:
It can be said that no one can match his performance in the role of Yama, no matter how many mythological, folk and social films he has done. ‘Sepai Koothuru’ released in 1959 was his first film. In 2019, Mahesh Babu’s ‘Maharshi’ was his last film. His majestic voice and personality are a plus for his film career. Satyanarayana showed his potential in the role of Yumudi in the film ‘Yamagola’ with senior NTR. He acted as Yamudi in the films ‘Yamalila, Yamudi Mogudu, Yamagola Malli Modallai, Daruvu’. Like NTR for the roles of Krishna and Rama, Satyanarayana was cast for the roles of Yama, Duryodhana and Ghatotkachu.

Typical villainy..
Director B. Vithalacharya discovered that he was the villain in Kaikala Satyanarayana. This changed his film career. For the first time, he acted as a villain in the movie ‘Kanakadurga Pooja Mahima’. After that he got settled in villain roles. In this sequence, he also played supporting roles and emerged as a complete actor. The absence of SV Ranga Rao to the Telugu industry has largely been filled by Satyanarayana.

Awards.. Records:
Kaika was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 Philly Fare Awards. He won the Nandi Award for Bangaru Family (1994) and the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2011. A cultural association in particular awarded him the title of ‘Navarasanatana Sarvabhauma’. Satyanarayana acted in 777 films and worked with 200 directors. His 223 films were screened for 100 days, while 10 films were screened for more than a year

Construction sector.. Political life
Kaikala Satyanarayana, who has acted in 770 films, established the company ‘Rama Film Production’ and produced the films ‘Two Thieves, Kodama Simham, Bangaru Bimiya, Muddola Mogudu’. He entered politics in 1996 and was elected to Lok Sabha from Machilipatnam constituency on behalf of Telugu Desam Party.
