680 schools completed under the ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Badi’ program in Telangana will be inaugurated today (February 1). It was decided to start with the ministers and MLAs at the same time. IT Minister KTR and Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy will formally open the KG to PG educational campus in Gambhiraupeta mandal center of Sirisilla district.
Officially, the government does not say how many schools there are. In the first phase, the government has selected 9,123 schools in the state and aims to provide 12 types of facilities with a budget of Rs.3,497 crore. Last March, CM KCR laid the foundation stone for the program at Vanaparthi. Officials have been working for two to three months to start at least two schools per mandal in the current academic year.
As 680 schools are ready at present, it has been decided to start them on Wednesday simultaneously with the Ministers and MLAs. IT Minister KTR and Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy will formally inaugurate the KG to PG educational campus in Gambhiraupeta mandal center of Sirisilla district. 12 types of facilities like drinking water, toilets, electricity, green chalk boards, repairs, equipment for imparting digital education, security guards, kitchen room, dual desks, canteens in high schools etc. have been provided in the schools. About 600 more schools will be opened within a few days, sources in the education department said.

Adilabad 37, Bhadradri Kothagudem 46, Hanumakonda 28, Hyderabad 32, Jagityala 36, Janagama 24, Jayashankar Bhupalapally 22, Jogulamba Gadwala 24, Kamareddy 44, Karimnagar 30, Khammam 62, Kumrambhim Asifabad 30, Mahbubabad 32, Mahbubnagar 32, Mancharya la 36, Medak 42, Medchal Malkajigiri 30, Mulugu 18, NagarKurnool 40, Nalgonda 62, Narayanapet 22, Nirmal 38, Nizamabad 59, Peddapally 28, Rajannasirisilla 26, Rangareddy 55, Sangareddy 55, Siddipet 48, Suryapet 46, Vikarabad 38, Vanaparthi 28, Warangal 26, Yadradri Bhuvanagiri 34 each completed the works in 1,210 schools.
Education given priority: Minister KTR
The Telangana government is giving top priority to education, the state Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao said on Twitter. He said that KG to PG educational campus has been wonderfully designed in Gambhiraopet of Rajannasirisilla district as part of Mana Uru-Manabadi scheme. KTR said that he is inaugurating this premises on February 1 along with Education Minister Sabitha Reddy. AnganWadi nursery center, primary school, high school, junior, degree, PG colleges, library, laboratories and skill development center have been built there.
