The financial burden of those students is reduced!  JNTU is working to establish four new engineering colleges!

This is really good news for poor and middle class students of Telangana. JNTU-Hyderabad is working to set up four new engineering colleges in the wake of the recent decision of Chief Minister KCR to provide more poor students of the state with an opportunity to study in JNTU engineering colleges. To this extent, the EC members unanimously approved the resolution proposed in the JNTU Executive Committee on Thursday. JNTU VC Katta Narasimha Reddy, Registrar Manzoor Hussain, Rector Govardhan and Executive Council members participated in this meeting."text-align: justify;">After giving the report of the Higher Education Council, JNTU will take steps to establish colleges in accordance with the directions of the CM. Presently, JNTU is running engineering colleges in Sultanpur, Jagityala, Manthani, Sirisilla, Vanaparthi along with Hyderabad campus. CM KCR‌ requested. They announced on different occasions a few months ago that the CM had expressed his willingness to do so. Apart from these, a college is going to be established in another area. 

The EC members discussed the teaching, non-teaching staff and infrastructure required for the new engineering colleges. Funds have been allocated for setting up infrastructure, libraries and laboratories in engineering colleges at Vanaparthi and Sirisilla. Agreed to release Rs.3 crores for purchase of 300 new computers in JNTU campus and Rs.50 lakhs for other infrastructure.
