BRS who has gone to the investigation agencies to face charges in the Delhi Liquor case. MLC Kavitha started a legal battle in the Supreme Court. He filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the notices given to him by the ED. A woman objected to being called to the ED office for questioning. Kavitha said that in the notices given to her, she was told that she would be investigated along with others…but she did not do so.
CRPC section 160 requires a woman to go to her home and be questioned…Kavitha’s petition objecting to calling the ED office was rejected by the Supreme Court. Received for investigation. However, no decision was taken on the request to exempt him from the March 16 trial. But it was not agreed to give interim orders and to hear this petition immediately. Later, the case was adjourned to 24th.
In this petition filed by Kavita, she objected to seizing her phone without giving any information. On March 12, Kavitanu Enforced in Delhi Liquor Scam Directorate officials inquired at length. After eight hours of interrogation, Kavitha was sent home in the evening. A team of five officers questioned Kavitha who went to the ED office at eleven o’clock in the morning.
During the interrogation, the ED officers seized Kavita’s phone. Kavita did not pick up her phone when she came to the hearing in the morning. They kept the phone at their residence in Delhi. But the ED officials spoke about the phone during the investigation. He told that he did not have it and ordered to bring it immediately. Kavitha, who was waiting outside the ED office, sent information to the driver and asked him to go to his residence and bring the phone. In the afternoon, Kavita’s driver took the phone and came to the ED office and handed it over to the authorities. It seems that the phone has been seized by the ED officials. Again notice to come on 16th.
