Delhi Liquor Scam: ED has approached Supreme Court on Kavitha’s petition, appeals to hear their arguments

Delhi Liquor Scam: Another development has taken place in Delhi Liquor Scam case. BRS MLC Kavitha has already approached the Supreme Court against the ED inquiry in this case. But the ED also approached the Supreme Court on Kavita’s petition.  Kavitha has mentioned key points in her petition that ED will write down women’s rights. He was brought to the attention of the Supreme Court to make him sit in the ED office till 8 pm. In her petition, Kavitha stated that the law says that a woman should not be made to sit in the office for interrogation after sunset. However, the ED requested the Supreme Court not to take any decision on Kavitha’s petition until their argument is heard. Kavitha has filed a petition in the Supreme Court not to summon a woman to the office and question her.

ED Petition in the Supreme Court

ED recently questioned MLC Kavitha in the Delhi liquor scam case. But Kavitha approached the Supreme Court on this inquiry. ED has filed a caveat petition in the Supreme Court as a counter to her petition. MLC requested not to give advance orders in Kavitha’s case. They asked the court to take a decision only after hearing their argument. They requested the Supreme Court not to give any orders on this petition without hearing their arguments. However, a hearing on Kavitha’s petition will be held in the Supreme Court on 24th of this month. The court will hear arguments on behalf of Kavita along with the ED. Kavitha challenges ED calling her for questioning. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has clarified that this petition will be heard on 24th.

ED hearing on 20th

ED heard MLC Kavita in Delhi Liquor scam on 11th of this month. But on 16th of this month, the ED has given notices for another inquiry. Kavitha was absent from the trial on 16 due to health reasons. To this extent she sent a letter to ED with her lawyer. However, in response to this, the ED issued a notice to Kavitha to come for investigation on 20th of this month. Challenging the ED investigation, he filed a petition in the Supreme Court and requested the Supreme Court to hear his petition before 20th. However, the Supreme Court has made it clear that Kavitha’s petition cannot be heard earlier and will be heard on the 24th. Kavitha wrote a letter criticizing the ED’s treatment of her as a woman in the investigation. He said that it was not mentioned anywhere in the notices that he should appear personally. Kavitha criticized that the investigation is not being conducted according to law. He asked the ED to wait until hearing his petition in the Supreme Court on 24th of this month. But ED did not agree to that. It has once again given notice to attend the hearing on 20th of this month. At this point, will Kavitha attend the ED hearing on 20th of this month? Or? There is a dilemma.
