Before this match, Jio Cinema had set a new record of viewership in a cricket match. In the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, 32 million i.e. 3.2 crore people watched the match on the OTT app and the company had set a new record. However, after yesterday’s World Cup match, Jio Cinema has come second from the top list and Disney+ Hotstar has come on top in terms of viewership.

On this new record of viewership, a post was made from the official Twitter handle of Jio Cinema in which the company congratulated Disney+ Hotstar for the new record. Jio Cinema wrote that Indians have set a new record every time in the digital era and digital is the future.
