Chat GPT making work easier for engineers
According to a CNBC report, Google was testing one of its beta chatbots based on Google Conversation Technology LaMDA to replace the post of entry level software engineer in Google. When its results i.e. LaMDA results were compared with Chat GPT, then what came to the fore was surprising. In fact, OpenAI’s chatbot ‘Chat GPT’ scored high for Google’s entry-level coder job, while Google’s LaMDA proved to be weak in many ways.
Can AI tools eat up jobs
During this test, Google’s engineers asked both LaMDA and Chat GPT the question whether AI tools can eat the job of coders? In response to this, both the AI tools said ‘no’. Google’s AI tool said that Chat GPT and LaMDA cannot eat the job of coders because programming is a team sport that requires deep knowledge of thinking, creativity and data science. AI tool is not ahead of humans in all these. That’s why AI tools cannot eat anyone’s job. Chat GPT also gave a similar answer.
