Legend chip maker and technology company AMD will invest $ 400 million in India in the next five years (AMD investment in India). The company announced this on Friday. Under this, AMD will open a new AMD campus in Bengaluru to expand research, development and engineering operations in India. This campus will serve as the biggest design center of the company.
The campus will open by the end of this year
According to the news, AMD will add around 3,000 new engineering roles by the end of 2028. The company has also indicated that this new center will open by the end of this year. Chandrasekhar says that it will also provide tremendous opportunities for our large pool of high skill semiconductor engineers and researchers. The new 5,00,000-square-foot Bengaluru campus will increase AMD office presence to a total of 10 locations in these cities – Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
