Google Chrome Alert: Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) under the Ministry of IT has issued a high risk alert for Google Chrome browser users. The warning is for users who are using browser versions earlier than 101.0.4951.64. According to the warning, a number of vulnerabilities have been reported in Google Chrome, which can be exploited by someone to enter arbitrary code on the target system.
It is further stated in the advisory, " These flaws in Google Chrome are due to free in sharesheet, browser UI, permission prompts, performance API, angle, sharing, web UI diagnostics, unnecessary implementation of web content and heap buffer overflow in V8 internationalization."
Update your Chrome browser
- First of all open your Google Chrome browser.
- Now tap on the three dot icon coming in the corner.
- Now go to Help.
- Now tap on About Google Chrome.
- You will be able to see the version of your Chrome browser in the next window. If an update is available, that update button will also appear.
