DigiLocker app can help you in this work. Through this app you can download soft copy of DL on your phone. It can be downloaded from Play Store or App Store.

How to save DL in Digilocker:

  • First of all, you have to download the Digilocker app on your phone. This is free app.
  • Then you have to activate the account through Aadhaar card.
  • Then you have to search for Transport Panel in Documents option. Here you will get the option of driving license, select it.
  • Then you will be asked about the Transport Department. In this you have to choose the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
  • After this the driving license number has to be entered. Then click on Get Document.
  • After this your DL will be saved in your Digilocker.

What is its advantage:
The advantage of saving documents in Digilocker is that even if you have forgotten any important document at home, you can get your work done by showing the soft copy present in it. Documents saved in Digilocker are valid for every government work. In this, apart from DL, you can also save PAN card, ration card etc.
