Satara District Bank has received notice from ED. It is now clear that the Jarandeshwar Sugar Factory loan case will be investigated. Satara District Bank had given a loan of Rs 96 crore to Jarandeshwar Sugar Factory.

Farmer Bill: Sugar Commissioner orders recovery of overdue electricity bill of farmers from sugarcane bill

Farmers have been ordered to recover their outstanding electricity bills from sugarcane bills. Sugar Commissioner Shekhar Gaikwad has given orders to sugar factories in 5 districts. MSEDCL had demanded that the tired electricity bills of farmers should be recovered through sugar factories. The decision was taken at a meeting convened at the Sugar Commissionerate today.
