The smugglers stole Rs 90 lakh from the office and fled
According to the manager, the two buccaneers opened the safe vault at night and fled after stealing cash. However, the Surat Crime Branch has been found to have speeded up the suspect. Harkishan Rathi, a resident of Kabirkunj Society in Bhatar Vanita Park, had lodged a complaint with the Khatodara police alleging that Rs 90 lakh in cash was stolen from the Western Construction office at Citylight Ashirwad Estate on the night of October 10.
Police were found to have detained one suspect
The city police were on the run when such a large amount of money was stolen at once. According to the complaint, CCTV footage shows two buccaneers entering Citylight. After entering the office, the smugglers first got the key of the accountant’s vault and later fled after stealing Rs 90 lakh in cash from the self-vault. So the crime branch was running along with the police. It is learned that the suspect has been detained in this incident.
