According to the information received, a robbery took place at Surat District Co-operative Bank in Mota village of Bardoli taluka of Surat in broad daylight. As many as 3 robbers broke into the bank and carried out a robbery of Rs 10.40 lakh by holding 6 employees hostage with a pistol. The entire incident of robbery has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in this bank.
A convoy of local police and LCB police rushed to the spot after the robbery and took statements from bank employees. The robbers carried out the robbery in 15 minutes and fled. According to information received, a robbery of Rs 10.40 lakh has been carried out in the bank. The trio fled on bikes after the robbery. Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings to nab the robbers.
The robbers broke into the Surat District Co-operative Bank and took the employees hostage. The bank manager was also taken hostage. The robbers slapped the manager once or twice to extort money. He then looted Rs 10.40 lakh and fled. The three robbers fled on the same bike after the bank robbery. Police arrived at the scene and took statements from staff, including the manager.
