It is noteworthy that in Tithaupur village of Tarwan police station area of Azamgarh district, Dalit husband and wife were murdered with sharp weapons on Sunday night. Azamgarh Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya said on Monday that unidentified miscreants entered the house of Tithaupur village resident Nagina (55) and his wife Nagina Devi (52), working in Mau district as Lekhpal in the Consolidation Department, on Sunday night with sharp weapons. Murdered and escaped.
Earlier, four members of a Dalit family were murdered in Gohari village of Phaphamau area of Prayagraj district on Wednesday night last week.
