Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has once again come under fire from MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju. He said that if he went to his constituency, he would not understand the trouble that befell Jagan. Fellow MPs told him that Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy had told him that Raghuram Krishna Raju should not come to his state. Does Jagan own any state? Asked.
He said the ‘Law Justice and Public Grievances Committee’ was scheduled to meet in Vizag and the committee members brought the matter to the notice of the state DGP, who said he was aware that the meeting should be adjourned if Raghuram Raju was on the committee. He alleged that the DGP had warned that Raghurama Visakha would be arrested if he came. After that, the committee members would be in trouble. Raghuram demanded that strict action be taken against the police for violating the fundamental rights of an MP. Jagan was incensed that he was resorting to extortion measures that would damage relations between the central and state governments by obstructing him.
In the wake of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to his constituency in July, MP Raghuram Krishna Raju has appealed to the Union Home Ministry to provide adequate security to those who want to attend the event there. To this end, he met Union Home Affairs Minister Nithyananda Roy and Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla. He said the state government has been creating many obstacles for the state to tour its own constituency for the last two years. As the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit his constituency on the 4th of next month, he has asked the Home Minister and Secretaries to provide adequate security without any difficulty from the state government.
