MP News: The politics of Madhya Pradesh has heated up on Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme. BJP is telling the scheme a big achievement of the government. Describing the scheme as unsuccessful, the Congress is alleging corruption. It is worth mentioning that Har Ghar Nal Yojana is being implemented under Jal Jeevan Mission in Madhya Pradesh. Drinking water is being supplied to the houses by making a water tank in the village. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself has taken review meetings of Jal Jeevan Mission from time to time.
Congress-BJP clash over Jal Jeevan Mission
Crores of rupees have been spent in Ujjain division due to the joint campaign of the Central and State Government. BJP MLA Paras Jain is not tired of praising PM Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He says that due to the vision of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, the condition of the village has improved a lot. There has been a lot of improvement in the basic facilities including education, health and water of the village. Clean water has been provided to the people in many villages of Ujjain division. Jal Jeevan Mission is actually moving towards meaning as per the name.
‘The benefits of the scheme have not reached dozens of villages’
Congress MLA Mahesh Parmar feels that the condition of the people of the villages has become worse than before. He said in Jal Jeevan Mission at the expense of crores that tanks have been made in the villages but water is not being supplied. Questioning the justification of the tap water scheme, the MLA alleged massive corruption. Planning is not visible on the ground in dozens of villages including Saadgi, Runji, Dhabla Hardu. Only the names of the schemes have been changing. Its benefits are yet to be seen in the rural areas. 609 crores were spent in the year 2022 to make Jal Jeevan Mission successful through Nal Jal Yojana. 895 works were done in Ratlam, Ujjain, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar Malwa, Shajapur, Dewas of Ujjain division.
