Patna: In Bihar, now the fitness of commercial vehicles will be checked by automatic machine. Automatic testing stations will be opened in all the districts for investigation. For this, applications have been invited from the private sectors by the Transport Department. Transport Department Minister Sheela Kumari said on Thursday that automating the fitness test of vehicles will reduce road accidents and promote environmental cleanliness.

Safety measures will be tested automatically
It should be known that at present the fitness check of vehicles is done manually by the Motor Vehicle Inspector. Motor vehicle inspectors issue fitness certificates by manually checking brakes, torches, speedometers, window glasses, horns, lights, wipers, etc., which is not very scientific. Automatic testing of these vehicles will be done after the automatic testing station is built.
Station monitoring will also be arranged
Automatic testing station will be fully equipped with CCTV. Every vehicle coming for investigation will be kept under watch. CCTV will be monitored during the entry point and investigation as well. There will also be a system for monitoring of automatic testing stations in the districts. In which district, how many vehicles are being checked, whether it is being checked according to the standard or not, it will be monitored.
