He told reporters here that the scholarship amount would be transferred directly into the account of the students.
Reddy said major events would be held at Ambedkar’s ‘Panchteerth’ as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, which would include Mau (his birthplace) in Uttar Pradesh, Deeksha Bhoomi in Nagpur and where he had attained Mahanirvana.
He said that on December 6, the government would conduct ‘Panchteerth’ Darshan on various social media platforms, so that those who could not visit him could also take advantage of the darshan.
He informed that some other major programs are planned to be organized on Constitution Day (November 26).
The Minister said that the government is setting up museums in the memory of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the house where he lived in Delhi, Kolkata, Manipur and other places including Nagaland. They are to be established on 23 January on the occasion of Netaji’s birth anniversary.
The Union Minister said that under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the government had organized Rangoli competitions on the occasion of Sankranti in January. Also competitions were organized for those who wrote and sang patriotic songs.
Reddy, Lok Sabha member from Secunderabad informed that on his request, Bhadrachalam in Telangana has been included in the route of the special pilgrimage train of Sri Rama circuit. There is a famous temple of Lord Shri Ram here.
