Firestorm: Railway stations will be closed till noon in AP.

Concerns continue across the country over the Agni Path scheme brought by the Center. It is known that the Secunderabad railway station turned into a battlefield yesterday. The agitation by the youths at the Secunderabad railway station protesting the Centre’s attitude turned violent within minutes. Protesters smashed the windows of trains and set fire to bogies. The unruly protesters completely destroyed the flats. Three trains, including the Howrah Express and the East Coast Express, were set on fire. Stones were thrown at buses outside the railway station. Police opened fire to control the agitation cars. A teenager was killed.

The police are taking them into custody as Army students are on the road to protest large -scale protests in AP today. Authorities have closed all railway stations in AP as a precautionary measure in the wake of the violent incidents at the Secunderabad railway station. Officials said the railway stations were being closed for security reasons. He said the stations would be closed till 12 noon. At Vizag, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Nellore, Anakapalli and other stations, the police came in large numbers and kept a close watch on those coming towards them. Officials said trains already scheduled to reach Visakhapatnam via Vijayawada would stop at Duvvada and trains from Howrah at Kottavalasa would be diverted. Police arranged for the trains to reach Visakhapatnam and prevented anyone from entering the station.
